It turns out that all of the letters that we attach to diseases not only mean something, but they are meant to denote which versions are the good ones, and which are the ones you don't want to contract!

For example, the Herpes notation system is based on an old children's rhyme, which states first is the worst, second is the best, third is a turd. That's how you remember that Herpes Simplex Virus II is the fun one!

Anyway, the Hepatitis A ,B ,D , E system is similar. Hepatitis B is for Bad, Hepatitis D is for Dangerous, and Hepatitis E is for Eeeeeek!

Hepatitis A? That's Hepatitis Awesome, and all the cool kids get it. Wikipedia says the best way to get it is " by the fecal-oral route via contaminated food or drinking water." NEAT!
