Wishing the Best to our Troops!

We have the good fortune of getting to print shirts for various morale events held at the Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan. A few weeks ago, we were tapped to print some Jingle Bell Run tees, and were pleased to find out that the arrived ahead of schedule (it's always tough to tell when shipping over there). SSG Andzelik, a Detroiter (and Michigan fan, I might add), was kind enough to send us this picture of the troops post-run. We wish all our brothers and sisters overseas a safe and merry Christmas / Hanakkuh, and thank them for their service!

Tees for the Troops @ Rammstein Airbase, Germany

It was our recent pleasure to print shirts for the Barbarossa Chapter of the Logistics Officers' Association @ the Rammstein Airbase in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

They were kind enough to send a pic back of some of the troops wearing their shirts.

Independence Day Shirt for the Troops

We recently had the honor of printing 1500 shirts for an Independence Day festival hosted by Michigan's 345th RSG in Kandahar, Afghanistan. We got the order a week ahead of time, whipped up a design, printed it over night, gave it to the USAF, and crossed our fingers - it made it around the world in four days, and right in time for the big day.

The unit requested that we include our Ann Arbor T-shirt Company logo on the sleeve, and ended each communication with a hearty "Go Blue."

Many thanks to all involved - our dedicated printers Kenny, Sal, Tony, and Rich who stayed late to pull it off, Ronan for the art, our suppliers for waiving rush fees to get the materials in on time, and most of all, our brothers and sisters putting their lifes on the line over there. Stay safe, and come home soon!

We're Opening a Sales Office in Ypsi!

We are really excited to announce that we will be opening our first satellite office in Ypsilanti on Cross St. in August, right across the street from EMU!

We already to quite a bit of printing for the Eagles (as well as many others in the Ypsilanti community), and are thrilled to cement our relationship with the city. We are going to name this office "The Ypsilanti T-shirt Company", and hope to add on-site digital printing capacity in the future once we're established.

The building is the old Ned's Campus Drugs, and is being completely refurbished by the O'Neil Construction company. It's going to be really nice, with us as the first tenants, and hopefully a coffee shop and sandwich place to follow.

Here's a nice article that Paula @ annarbor.com wrote about the move:

http://www.annarbor.com/business-review/ann-arbor-t-shirt-company-signs-deal-to-open-store-in-ex-drugstore/

Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the past three years - we couldn't have grown without you, and look forward to many more to come!

One of our Own Rides Across America

Ann Arbor T-shirt Company Minion Andrew "Teats" Hypnar will be doing us proud this summer as he rides a peddle bicycle from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. with Push America on behalf of America's disabled community.

The event, which features 100 riders in three teams, covers 4,000 miles and raises a half a million dollars. The money is distributed along the way to local disability groups like Easter Seals, the ARC of California, etc, and the guys stop every night to volunteer with the disabled community.

We are very proud of Mr. Teats, who is a Michigan student from Dearborn, a volunteer at Romulus High School's basketball program, and an all-around nice guy. He will be riding the same (POS) bicycle that Ann Arbor T-shirt Company co-founder Jerry made the trek with in 2006, and it is with great pride that we contribute $1500 to kick his fundraising off. If you'd like to help him reach his goal of $6,500, we highly encourage you to visit his page and make a donation!

The Journey of Hope stops in Ann Arbor to volunteer at the Eisenhower Center on 8/1/201

We're Kind of Big Deal: Printing for the movie JINN

About a year ago, we were approached by Ben Dresser of Exxodus Pictures to print some promotional shirts and tanks for an event debuting the Firebreather, a tricked out muscle car specially built by Classic Design Concepts in Novi for the upcoming movie Jinn.

We were thrilled to be a part of it, particularly after seeing pictures of the girls donning the tank tops, and our relationship with Exxodus and Jinn grew from there. We've filled several promotional / crew shirt* orders for them in the year since, and we are always keen to hear how the filming is coming (at our last visit, Ben had spent the night before roped in as a last minute stunt double, stand in a road at 2am while a professional driver drifted in a six foot circle around him)

Best of luck to Ben and everyone at Exxodus as you finish your project, we look forward to it's debut!

*pictured: a cameraman wearing one of our shirts adjusts his settings on set
